May 21-22, 2016 Cards to Share

Here's the May collection of cards we made recently.

Decided to try a stencil technique from an idea I saw online. I used to the Big Shot to cut out the large butterfly stencil from the Bold Butterfly Framelit plus the white butterfly accent piece from the heavier White cardstock, and the smaller butterfly stencil from Butterfly Thinlits. The card base is one of the new In Colors for 2016 called Flirty Flamingo, plus the matching ink, along with Tip Top Taupe ink. The white embossed paper is some I had on hand (which I have too much of!) but it worked great using a sponge dauber to stencil the two butterflies.  I used the Wink of Stella glitter pen to go over the top of the white butterfly before I tied Linen Thread around it. Don't forget to round the corners of the card with your envelop punch board!

Super easy card using the stamp set Tin of Cards for the happy birthday greeting. That is stamped on Watermelon Wonder cardstock and punched with a 2 inch circle punch with black stazon ink. That is mounted on Back to Black Designer Series Paper, mounted on Crumb Cake. Accented with Linen thread and a silver foil star punch. Could be a masculine card for someone special.

Inspired by the many talented folks on Pinterest. Retired set from Sale-A-Bration called Botanicals for You, the just for you is heat embossed with black embossing powder on Very Vanilla cardstock, backed with Basic Black. Mint Macaron cardstock dry embossed with the Large Polka Dot in reverse so the circles are reset down, where you can add 3/4" punched circles from the just retired Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack. Calypso Coral ribbon is some I had in my stash for the bow accent.

Inspired from Pinterest - Tracy Bradley
Pacific Point and Wild Wasabit Cardstock and matching inks. 2-1/2' circle punch to make the sticky note masking while I stamped the leaves from the Sheltering Tree set all around. Black Glimmer Paper was used to make the "hello" on the Big Shot from the Hello You thinlit set. I used some non-Stampin' Up! lime green sequins as accents.

I'm pretty sure I was inspired by someone's design online,
but I forgot to make note of their name this time. (Sorry!)

Timeless Treasures stamp set used with Basic Gray, Smoky Slate and Black Stazon ink on a Basic Black cardstock base with Whisper White cardstock. Small silver doily and silver sequins. The Thank You comes from a new set called Thoughtful Banners.

Thanks for taking a look. Tomorrow is the big day when the new 2016 Annual Catalog is released. Lots of awesome items in there to put on your wish list. You'll be able to view it online through my demonstrator website.
