Mummy Earrings

Making these Shrinky Dink Mummy earrings from the Jar of Haunts stamp set was so fun! I used glossy white shrinky dink plastic, black stazon ink, punched a 1/4" hole and went to town with my heat gun to shrink them right where I was working. It was fun to watch them twist and curl then finally flatten back out, but right at the end I placed a clear stamp block on them to make sure they were flat. The shrunken hole is just perfect for a jump ring to attach the earring wire. Then for fun, I stuck some googly eyes on just to make them extra cute!

Assorted Cards I've Made Recently

Summer and early fall were a busy time. I branched out and put my cards into a local outdoor arts show. I placed a variety of designs there and enjoyed some success given the remoteness of the location and the short time the show ran. Here are some of the cards I sold.

Stamp Set - Watercolor Words

These cards were made from some supplies of a recent Paper Pumpkin kit.

More cards from the Watercolor Words stamp set.

Such an easy card using the  Rose Garden Thinlits, emphasizing a positive-negative effect.

I tried my hand on the watercolor washing technique. It's hard to see put I've placed mini hearts punched from vellum inside the jars.

Fresh Fruit stamp set and Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper, plus the words from Watercolor Words.

Stylized Birthday stamp, striped washi tape with gold foil and soft suede cardstock.

All these cards had some inspiration from Pinterest, but I made them my own.

Thanks for looking!

Swaps Received from OnStage - Vancouver, BC on Nov. 5

Look at all these great swaps I received at On Stage!  I just love swapping with other demonstrators, it's almost the highlight of the day! There were about 250 Canadians and 100 Americans there, so a nice variety was received!

Even got a few 3D items. The candy ones were especially delicious!

Thanks for enjoying these with me!

On Stage Vancouver British Columbia Event - Nov. 5

Going to On Stage in Vancouver, British Columbia was so fun. Here's Heidi (my downline) and myself in front of the big hot air balloon in the lobby. It was a long day 8 am - 6 pm but worth every minute. We learned so much, won prize patrol, received some all attendee giveaways and much more that I have to keep secret a little while longer! I always love going to these events!

Here are the swaps I took to share with others. They were inspired by many from Pinterest but I made them my own. I got lots of ohhh and ahhh's on them. Made me feel good!

October 29 and 30, 2016 Holiday Card Designs

Hello, welcome back!

I was inspired by Stampin' Fee in Germany with this cute 4 tea light holder.  Retired set Warmest of Wishes stamped in Real Red and then used the new Layering Square Framelits on the lid. You will need 12x12 cardstock to make this.

Original design using retired Designer Series paper, but current Acorn Punch with Gold and Copper Foil paper, corrugated kraft cardstock, gold doily, burlap ribbon, and the Suite Seasons Stamp set mounted on the Lots of Labels framelits.

Inspired by Deb at Artfelt Impressions using the Woodland embossing folder and Christmas Greeting thinlits in silver foil. I changed it up by dragging a silver ink pad over the vellum that the trees were embossed on. Retired Brushed Silver paper and current Smokey Slate cardstock.

CASED design but didn't write down the designer's name. Oops!  I used Embellished Ornaments stamp set and  Delicate Ornament thinlits cut out from gold foil and Pool Party card stock. More bling with gold glimmer washi tape and rhinestones.

A direct CASE of Julie's @ The Way We Stamp design using the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits and Jar of Love, Jar of Cheer, and Gorgeous Grunge stamp sets. I used a slightly different washi tape and narrow gold ribbon for accent.

A direct CASE from Kim Williams at Stampinwithjoyink.typepad, com
I only added the red glimmer paper berries and the expanded Real Red Label Punch behind the greeting to give it more POP! Stamp set was Holly Berry Happiness and the Softly Falling Embossing Folder.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you've received some inspiration here!

More Inspiration for You from my October 8-9th Classes

Original design using the Letters for You Bundle, retired Designers Series Paper on Night of Navy cardstock. Current ribbon is Smokey Slate 1/8" Stitched Ribbon plus added bling with rhinestones on the right edge.

I just love the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper in the current Holiday catalog. It really wasn't too bad to fussy cut out the houses. Shelly Young was the Pinterest inspiration behind this card, but I still changed it up by placing the houses on an imaginary hill and adding the Early Espresso ribbon and white sequins on the roof edge.

This card's layout was inspired by http://personally4u.blogspot.com/ but I changed up the vellum paper and glimmer washi tape to use some I had on hand. Very simple and easy.

This original design used the Halloween Treat stamp from the current Holiday catalog combined with some retired washi tape and Designer Series paper.

Happy Stamping!

Assorted Cards to Inspire You!

Hello Everyone,

I'm so behind in my posting, I just thought I'd do a quick catch-up just to show you what I've been up to in the last month or so.

I was inspired by others, but made this my own by adding the Merry Christmas banner and making my own snowman arms. Used the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits (141497 - $27) and the Snow Place stamp set (139738 - $26)

Inspired again from Pinterest but made it my own using Stylized Birthday (141828 - $10) and Sweet Cupcake and Framelits Bundle (142232 - $43) all in Peak a boo Peach and Chocolate Chip.

Thoughtful Branches set was a short lived special offer from Stampin' Up! but it has already sold out! Many demos offered inspiration on Pinterest with similar layouts.

This was an original by me using up some retired holiday Designer Series Paper, a felted wreath embellishment from about 6 years ago (been saving that a long time!) and the Letters for You and Framelits Bundle (142348 - $133)

Thanks for stopping by.

September Class Cards - Love Congrats

This is a fun, easy card to make for any wedding or engagement occasion. You'll just need to be very careful as you remove the Designers Series Paper from the heart thinlit so it doesn't tear. I also turned the Petal Burst embossed cardstock over to get a recessed look.

The Island Indigo Thick Baker's Twine is retired product.

I was inspired by others, but can't find who to credit.

You can order the product to create this card by clicking on the items below and they will take you to my online store.
