July Club Card #3 - English Garden Happy Birthday

I was inspired by another Pinterest post that used the new English Garden Designer Series Paper. Aren't the florals just lovely?  The color scheme is Soft Suede, Mint Macaron, and Melon Mambo. When the two pieces of DSP are joined with scotch tape on the reverse, I used some retired Melon Mambo Scalloped Edge Dotted Ribbon to cover the seam by scotch taping on the back side. Next I tied the lovely, luscious Mint Macaron 1" Dotted Lace Trim all the way around the DSP layer and the Mint layer. It is pretty stretchy and ties a beautiful bow. Prior to stamping the Happy Birthday, I used the Triple Banner Punch to get the precision end on the Melon Mambo paper. The sentiment came from the Butterfly Basics stamp set, stamped in Soft Suede ink on the Melon Mambo paper. The tag was raised with Dimensional to finish off the card.

Sweet and simple, but so pretty! Thanks for taking a look!

July Club Card #2 - You're A Peach Thanks

I just love this new Hostess set called Silhouettes & Script for my original design. The cute stamps lend themselves to hand coloring with markers to get the two color images. The color palette was Tangerine Tango, Old Olive, Basic Black and Crumb Cake.  The new background stamp Brushstrokes is very user friendly stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I was feeling very clever to turn the Note Tag punch upside down to make the "banner" that the peach attached to. A small piece of retired Old Olive ribbon was knotted and glue dotted to the peach stem. Finishing off the card is "Thanks" from the Hello You Thinlits collection, cut out on the Big Shot. I used the Tombow Liquid Adhesive to apply microscopic dots of glue on the back of the word to attach it to the card front. The peach banner is raised off the stripes with Dimensionals, and then the stripes and Tangerine Tango layers are raised off the Crumb Cake card base with Dimensionals.

Bold and Beautiful!  Thanks for stopping by!

July Club Card #1 - an Original

This was a fun card to design. I used two new stamp sets - Remarkable You (Calla) and Watercolor Words. The new Brick Embossing Folder was fun to work with too on the Big Shot with the lighter weight Whisper White. I used the Oval Framelits to cut out the lightweight Whisper White cardstock, which were stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink for the images. I used Crushed Curry and Pear Pizazz to color the stem and stamens. Then I traced the outer edge of the same framelits and cut out the English Garden Designer Series Paper by hand to mount the stamped images on.

I used the new heavier weight Whisper White to make the card base. Cut the sheet lengthwise at 4.25". I scored the paper at 1", 2", and 6.5". Then I glued on the two pieces of embossed bricks on. Then I used Dimensionals to raise the ovals off of the bricks. The only tricky part is to have an envelope near by so you can place the calla oval exactly where it needs to go, so it will fit in the envelope all folded up!  The bee was fussy cut out of the English Garden DSP and then the new Gold Metallic Thread was looped around the bee back multiple times with the help of a glue dot or two to hold it in place. Then the bee and thread were mounted on the card with another Dimensional.

Classy and simple, I just love it! Thanks for taking a look!
