December Card Class - Merry card

Patrice Halliday-Larsen's card design was my inspiration to use the Seasonally Scattered stamp set. This card size is about 3 x 6 which fits some old envelopes that Stampin' Up! used to sell. You can easily make your own now with the Envelope Punch Board.

The color scheme is Smokey Slate, Night of Navy, Marina Mist, and Whisper White.
Starting on the Whisper White layer you stamp the "Merry" from the stamp set in Versamark ink and heat emboss with White Embossing Powder. Now the fun begins - take a sponge dauber and daub Night of Navy ink just over the "merry." Then take a sponge wedge and lightly sponge Marina Mist ink over the rest of the Whisper White paper. Next using the Endless Wishes stamp set, take the smallest snowflake and stamp the small snowflake all over the sponged ink also in Marina Mist ink. Move to the Marina Mist cardstock layer and stamp the snowflake around the edges also in Marina Mist ink. Top and second layer done. The Night of Navy layer has silver ink used to stamp the same snowflake around the paper edges. Then for accent, I used some retired Illumination ink to stamp more snowflakes around the edges and help it all "pop"!
To finish the card, I glued the Whisper White and Marina Mist layers together then wrapped with the 1/8" silver ribbon and added some rhinestone bling. Then that combined layer was raised with dimensionals attached to the smokey slate and night of navy layers.
I love the wintery look of this card. Hope you do too!
