Jan. 16, 2012 Workshop Designs

I was so fortunate to have a good friend say she'd help me with booking a party during another one of SU World Wide Book-a-thons, so I earned some nice incentives. Who wouldn't want free stamps? That's just one of the benefits of being a demonstrator!

Here's the cards I designed for this workshop:

This Happy Everything Card uses a new stamp called Packed for Birthday. It was so fun to color with Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo after stamping with Black Stazon ink. I tried a new to me technique on this card. Heating crumpled wax paper between two layers of the shiny side of the Glossy White paper, then when it is cool just sponging whatever color ink you desire. It was soooo easy, I plan to use this technique again!

For the Newlyweds card is super easy to make. Use the Elegant  Bouquet Textured Inpressions Embossing Folder on Brushed Silver, wrap the 5/8" White Organza Ribbon around the silver paper, then add another ribbon layer on top of it with the 1/8" Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon. Once that is secure adhere that silver/ribbon layer to a Whisper White card. Finish it off with 3 punches - Decorative Label in Basic Black, Scallop Oval in Brushed Silver, and Oval in Whisper White with Basic Black sentiment stamped. Finish with rhinestones as shown.

This Love card has many details that are hard to see in the photo. Starting with a Very Vanilla card, add Stripe Embossed Basic Black at top. Cut out Read Red base paper, then heat emboss "love" in Black embossing powder on Sale-a-bration Everyday Enchantment DSP. Punch two hearts in Real Red and Basic Black then emboss on the Big Shot with the Polka Dots folder. Finish by tying Very Vanilla Seam Binding at top, and color rhinestones with a red sharpie and affix to card front. Doesn't this just ooze love?

I'm so glad SU came out with this Gnome Sweet Gnome set. It reminds me of my Germany travels when I would see gnomes everywhere. This card uses the new Edgelits Die Cuts called Adorning Accents. Then I used two of the DSP designs of the Twitterpated paper on Island Indigo with Real Red accents. I hand colored the Gnomes with the watercolor pencils and finished it off with a punched out heart. Isn't this precious..."to gnome you is to love you"

It's almost time for the best time of the Stampin' Up year --Sale-A-Bration Catalog. Please contact me if you'd like to see one or go to this link!
